Enabling with Keyboard Shortcut

To open the Design Tools sidebar in Canvas:

1. Open the Canvas course.
2. Navigate to the content you wish to edit.
3. Click the “Edit” button.
4. Hold the control key (^) and type the 1 key (this works the same on Macs and PCs)

6. You will see the Design Tools sidebar open on the right side of the screen.

Note: The older keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+D for Widows users or Shift+Option+D for Mac users will also work.

Set Design Tools to Open Automatically

Instead of using the keyboard shortcut to open Design Tools each time, you can also set it to open automatically
